Redundancy Day 4 – Familiar Patterns

Another day, another post in the redundancy diaries! I have come to the conclusion that there is only so much you can do in a situation like this. As such the way I am looking at it, is to treat the looking for work like a job.

It’s redundancy (sick of this word already, so that’s a good start) day three, and frankly it’s not getting any more fun. It’s sunk in a bit more, and I guess I’ve reached that acceptance stage.

When I hit 18 and was in my last year of A Levels I didn’t have a clue what I really wanted to do with my life. I’d just bombed out completely in AS Levels and had to resit EVERYTHING. Just because you mess up one year doesn’t mean that’s it there’s always a chance t do something about it, or do something else if it really isn’t for you. I didn’t go straight to Uni, I messed about worked in a pub, enjoyed life. I can’t say I regret having a great time with my mates, but this was before I discovered that a ‘proper’ job was more for me.
