What Is Digital Marketing?

I’ve been working in digital marketing for a while now. One thing that is clear, is that a lot of people don’t really understand the premise of what I do. Someone will ask me what I do, I say ‘digital marketing’ and often this is met with a blank look or ‘is that where you ring people all the time? Doesn’t that get a bit soul destroying?’
